\"Image<\/span>What is FSSAI ?<\/span>

The Food Safety & Standards Act, 2006 introduced to improve the hygiene and quality of food has brought about tremendous changes in the food industry. As per the Act, no person shall commence or carry on any food business except under a FSSAI license or FSSAI registration. All the manufacturers, traders, restaurants who are involved in food business must obtain a 14-digit registration or a license number which must be printed on food packages.<\/span><\/p>\n

This step is taken by government so as to ensure that food products undergo certain quality checks thereby reducing the instances of adulteration, substandard products and improve accountability of manufacturers.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is applicable to all food units involved into Manufacturing, Processing, Trading, Packing, Distribution, Export, Import, Transportation, Warehousing, Storage, Sales, Re-packing, Re-labelling, Wholesale, Retail, Hotel, Canteen, Dhaba, Restaurant, Club and Resorts or any sort of food business in India commonly termed as Food Business operators.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is FSSAI Registration Fee or Cost<\/span><\/p>\n

As per the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing & Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011, the guidelines were laid down regarding the fee structure for the Food Business Operators.<\/span><\/p>\n

The food business in India are required to get done with FSSAI registration, in case any of the food business operators fail to do so has to pay penalty for the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

FSSAI Registration Fee is partitioned into the government expense and expert expense. Government expense formally charged by the govt for the application handling charge and an expert charge is charged by the Professional to set up your application.<\/span><\/p>\n

FSSAI registration is segregated in three different types such as Basic registration, State registration and Central registration, the FSSAI fees for these registrations are mentioned below:<\/span><\/p>\n

*Turnover below 12 lakhs annually- FSSAI registration.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
